AGM Container Controls, Inc. has been in the container hardware business since 1970. With the enactment of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in 1990, AGM realized there was an opportunity to provide improved access to stages and platforms for individuals with disabilities. Accordingly, AGM began producing vertical portable wheelchair lifts in 1992 and created the Ascension product division in 1995. Innovation continues to be a trademark in the development of each Ascension wheelchair lift. In 2007, Ascension has taken the next step in its evolution as an accessibility provider with the introduction of a permanently-installed vertical wheelchair lift.
