Portable Wheelchair Lifts & Fixed Wheelchair Lifts

What Our Architect & Consultant Customers Say About Ascension Wheelchair Lifts

"As the former City of Kansas City, Missouri's ADA Specialist and a wheelchair user, I want to let you know how much I have enjoyed the Ascension portable wheelchair lift versus others I have used, both from a user standpoint (including myself) and by recommending the lift to several of our departments for access to stages for both inside and outside events. In fact, the city has purchased six Ascension lifts, primarily for the Kansas City Convention & Entertainment Centers, and also for Parks & Recreation. We are very happy with the lift's reliability, movability from one place to another, smooth lifting and quiet operational mode. I highly recommend the Ascension lift and will be most happy to discuss our experience with others!"

"We are an architectural firm that specializes in school design. It has been difficult in the past to provide a lift down into a shallow orchestra pit. Our need was to provide ADA access down into the stage orchestra pit area with a lift that completely stores below the pit cover. With the Ascension Virtuoso 5460P, we were able to satisfy this design requirement for the Hilliard Bradley High School. The height of the lift in its down position allows the pit cover to completely cover the lift when not in use."

"In designing a complete renovation of an Elementary School, we needed to provide access to a telescoping proscenium stage in a Multi-Purpose Room with limited clearances to existing walls. Using a removable ramp would have detracted from the aesthetics of the stage, decreased seating capacity, and taken up valuable storage space. We decided a wheelchair lift would be the best option for the Project. Because of the limited clearances, the entry and exit from the lift needed to be at a 90 degree angle. After reviewing nearly all lifts commercially available, we found that the Ascension SLA-2050ESD was the perfect fit for the Client's needs. From assistance in specifying of the equipment, through questions during the bidding process, and ultimately in delivery of the lift and training of the Owner, the Ascension staff was knowledgeable and responsive. The Client was highly satisfied with the durability and easy functioning of the lift, as well as the minimal footprint of the unit. We would not hesitate to recommend Ascension to anyone looking for a quality product backed up by an outstanding company."

"As an Architectural and Engineering Firm providing professional services for the renovation of existing school structures and facilities, we have found numerous instances where the building's component spaces require the installation of wheelchair lift. In the majority of these cases we have found that either the installation of a permanent lift would involve additional alterations to the structure or that space required for a permanent lift installation is not available. The Ascension portable wheelchair lift has proved to be both a practical and economical solution for providing the required access."

"We are an Architectural firm that specializes in school rehabilitation. In many instances we find that the buildings we are working on have one or more buildings that have inaccessible platforms or stages. Since installing a permanent lift in an existing facility usually involves additional alterations to the structure and many times requires space that is not available we have found that the Ascension portable wheelchair lift is the most viable and economical solution for providing required access."

"I congratulate you and your staff on their prompt, professional assistance and knowledge which proved invaluable for two Chicago Public Schools Accessibility Compliance and Renovation Projects. The Ascension SLA-2050ESD model used for each school works exactly as expected. The design required a portable lift to be stored in room limited to an existing 36" nominal door width. No other manufacturer produces a quality lift that could meet this requirement. The projects also required custom ramp designs to accommodate existing conditions. Ascension expedited all details for design and construction and followed up through final completion and approval by Owner. Ascension remains the most economical, aesthetic and quality lift available on the market today."
